UbU4U is a prominent Black-owned clothing label based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, dedicated to providing “fashion with a purpose”. Founded by award-winning designer, community advocate, and publisher Jessica Bowden, MSM, the streetwear brand functions as a platform to empower local Black, Brown, Indigenous, and ally youth while directly dismantling barriers surrounding systemic racism, violence, and poverty.
The brand creates high-quality, heavy-blend graphic hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, and lifestyle essentials adorned with socially conscious messaging. Deeply rooted in community uplift, a substantial portion of all sales proceeds are funneled directly back into local youth initiatives, school breakfast programs, and the BackPackED© Back-2-School Campaign, which distributes educational tools and backpacks to families in need.
